Border Immersion Trips

Learn about the challenging reality of life in a city divided by the border wall, and the risks of the migrant journey, with an organization that is based at the border and supports the work of a grassroots community center.

Friends of HEPAC organizes border immersion experiences that enable you to learn from the people that are affected by U.S. economic and immigration policies,  and be inspired by people that are providing humanitarian aid and working to improve the quality of life in their communities.

You can walk beside the Nogales Wall that separates Nogales, Sonora from Nogales, Arizona; visit migrant aid centers; enjoy lunch with the children at HEPAC; have an exchange with local university students; go to the home of an HEPAC compañera/volunteer for dinner; hike along a migrant trail to place water and food; and see amazing community art projects.

These and many more site visits are described in our sample itinerary. To personalize and schedule your trip, please click here.

We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you soon!
